From January 27 to 30, 2026, the 50th Academic Readings on Cosmonautics, dedicated to the memory of Academician S.P. Korolev and other outstanding scientists—pioneers of space exploration—were held at Bauman Moscow State Technical University, bringing together leading industry experts.

Bauman Moscow State Technical University Rector Mikhail Gordin, State Duma Deputy Denis Kravchenko, Organizing Committee Chairman Vladimir Solovyov, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and Roscosmos Director General Dmitry Bakanov delivered welcoming remarks at the opening of the Readings. Heads of key enterprises and research institutes delivered plenary presentations, touching on the strategic directions of Russian cosmonautics development and emphasizing the continuous connection between fundamental science, education, and practical cosmonautics.

Speakers included Dmitry Aleksandrovich Baranov, Deputy Director General for Rocket Projects at Roscosmos; Vasily Vasilyevich Marfin, Director General of JSC NPO Lavochkin; Oleg Yuryevich Sedykh, Head of the Design Complex at JSC NPO Lavochkin; and Viktor Eliseevich Minenko, Professor in the Department of Spacecraft and Launch Vehicles at Bauman Moscow State Technical University.

Over the next three days, breakout sessions and roundtable discussions were held, with over 600 thematic papers presented. The geography and composition of the participants encompassed all leading organizations in the rocket and space industry, academic institutions, universities, and private companies.

The discussions focused on both historical topics and the most pressing issues: from the design of new propulsion systems, control systems, and space robotics to issues in space medicine, economics, law, and personnel training. Of particular interest were roundtable discussions on the development of the UniverSat university satellite launch program and new models of public-private partnerships in the space sector.
